After a long day, my brain simply did not want to play with words tonight.

I did manage to come up with this little call and response poem for the Day 26 NaPoWriMo prompt, inspired by Odysseus’ voyage.

NaPoWriMo Day 26 – Call and Response

Sea waves spread to the edge of the world,
Praise to Poseidon for our safe return.

The Sirens sang and Charybdis swirled,
Praise to Poseidon for our safe return.

Blood spilled to open the path to Hades,
Praise to Poseidon for our safe return.

Heads bowed to Apollo while passing Cyclades,
Praise to Poseidon for our safe return.
