The inspiration for today’s NaPoWriMo poem was plucked from an heirloom tomato aptly named “Striped Roman”. I decided to play with a triolet to keep things interesting.

If you are following along with the edits of my first novel, I am trudging through the drudgery of re-reads and note making. Fingers crossed the first stage will be finished by the end of the week and I will move on to scene labels. Exciting times ahead! Luckily, I have the daily poems to keep my creativity simmering.

NaPoWriMo Day 5 – Striped Roman

Striped Roman, painted by the sun,
as Sol passes into the underworld,
Beneath a red and orange emulsion.
Striped Roman, painted by the sun,
Beneath a red and orange emulsion,
Formed as the worlds are unfurled.
Striped Roman, painted by the sun,
as Sol passes into the underworld.
